As President and Founder of AscentTravel, Scott is focused on the general management of the AscentTravel family of Performance Improvement companies, Ascent Performance Group, MediaAscent, and DirectAscent, as well as the company’s destination and event-specific brands including Circle of Life Safari’s, Cuba Incentive Travel Associates and The Life Classic Invitational. Scott is involved in all aspects of the day-to-day design, planning and management of the company’s various group travel operations, including on-site program management whenever possible.
Scott founded AscentTravel in 2000 and has worked in the Performance Improvement and Group Incentive Travel business for over 25 years (including 10 years with Maritz).
Scott suffers from a near obsessive pre-occupation with reward travel and business results.
As Vice President of Sales and Business Development for MediaAscent, Ressie is responsible for the delivery of all aspects of MediaAscent’s programs. In addition to providing sales, marketing, and program development leadership, Ressie also leads our on-site travel staff for most MediaAscent programs. She partners closely with our media clients’ executive level sales leadership to engineer reward strategies that deliver significant revenue increases and strengthened business relationships.
Ressie has amassed over 20 years’ experience in media sales management and sales productivity programs with The Houston Chronicle, The Denver Newspaper Agency, and MediaAscent.
Ressie eats, sleeps, and dreams revenue increases on behalf of our media clients.
As Vice President of Sales for MediaAscent Associates, Julie is responsible for the sales of our range of sales productivity services to the media industry. Julie works closely with our media clients’ executive level sales management team to design and deliver travel-based Advertiser Reward Programs and Sales Rep Incentive Programs, to include program focused sales training. Her expertise is also available for more extensive media industry sales training and sales process support.
Julie has accumulated 18 years’ experience in broadcast media sales, management and training within the radio and television industries with Cox Television and Morrison and Abraham.
Julie understands first-hand the high-leverage payoff of station level travel-focused media reward programs.
As the Director of Accounting and Human Resources at Ascent, Heather is responsible for managing the company’s finances to include client billing and supplier management as well as providing human resources support for our great team of associates. She is responsible for talent acquisition, staffing, and employment processing. She is one of the most senior members of our team, having been with Ascent since 2000.
Heather’s background is in marketing research and analysis. She began her career at the Keebler Company, before joining Ascent and assuming a variety of roles with increasing responsibility.
Heather is Ascent’s standard bearer for accuracy and timeliness of all things financial.
As Director of Operations for Ascent, Nadia is responsible for all aspects of program operations including planning, supplier negotiation, site-selection and on-site program operations. She consults closely with team members throughout the planning process and manages onsite operations with grace and command. Originally from Barbados, Nadia provides destination expertise for the Caribbean, Mexico & South America region.
Nadia has blue chip planning, project management, and account leadership credentials. Nadia is degreed in the hospitality industry and her resume includes roles with The Four Seasons, a top Caribbean DMC as well as 5-star restaurants and hotels.
Nadia’s grace under fire and easy-going demeanor disguises her relentless perfectionism and work ethic.
As Program Manager for Ascent, Liz works as a planner, team leader and liaison for client incentive travel programs. She manages the overall coordination and execution of client programs with special expertise in on-site operations. Liz’s destination knowledge include Europe, Africa, and the Far East. Additionally she provides sales support and assists with business development for Ascent.
Prior to joining Ascent, Liz traveled globally for up 280 days a year as a Senior Travel Director for Maritz Travel Company. Her resume includes expertise in hospitality and marketing.
Liz plans and operates incentive travel programs with love, devotion, and tenacity.
As a Client Services Manager for Ascent, Lori facilitates travel award winner’s registrations, creates and organizes participant communications and provides support for program travel planners. Additionally, Lori provides destination research and assists with the creation of winning client presentations.
Before joining Ascent, Lori worked in a variety of environmental positions related to her degree in geology. As our resident scientist, Lori uses her breadth of project management and procurement experience every day in her role orchestrating client program details.
Lori brings tremendous focus and professionalism to all her assignments and does so with flair and enthusiasm.
As Director of Enterprise Operations, Claudia is focused on helping Ascent streamline operations, organize and warehouse client data, and improve operational efficiency. As a direct result of Claudia’s efforts our clients receive faster, better, more detailed information, and the delivery of our incentive travel services is more timely, well organized, and high quality.
Claudia’s blue chip project management skills and high level training in the information sciences equip her well to manage client data and improve company operations. Incentive travel is a detail business, and Claudia provides our client’s invaluable quality control.
Claudia’s remarkable ability to organize information makes her the mastermind behind everything we do.
As Director of Client Services, Amelia is responsible for managing travel program award winners experience before, during and after program operation. Amelia stays busy managing group flight research, drafting program communications, managing airline ticketing and participant extensions and insuring a smooth registration process. She is the backbone of our behind the scenes operations and has a gift for keeping things running smoothly and on time.
Amelia spent the early part of her career planning and conducting hiring fairs for international college students around the globe. Her experience also includes Ad Agency client services and marketing communications work.
Amelia makes instant friends with program qualifiers, and she has a lot of friends.
As a Client Services Manager for Ascent, Shannon facilitates travel award winners’ registrations, creates and organizes participant communications and provides support for program travel planners. Additionally, Shannon provides sales support and destination research for our great team of associates.
Shannon’s academic background is in English and History. Prior to joining Ascent, Shannon worked in a variety of industries including finance, video production and higher education. Her wide-ranging abilities make her an asset to every program she operates.
Shannon is passionate about client service. Her sunny personality and attention to detail makes travelers feel special, appreciated and rewarded.
As Marketing Design Manager for Ascent, Brooklyn creates travel-inspiring marketing materials for our clients and for our family of Ascent Performance Group brands. Bringing her technical skills to bear, she makes all of us look good!
Brooklyn’s academic background is in global business, entrepreneurship, and international studies. Prior to joining Ascent, Brooklyn has worked in a variety of industries including IT and law.
Brooklyn is a creative force with an eye for detail.
As Program Manager for Ascent, Kate works as a planner, team leader and liaison for client incentive travel programs. She manages the overall coordination and execution of client programs with special expertise in large program operations and the coordination of on-site teams. Kate maintains a high level of knowledge for North American meeting and incentive destinations and provides sales and proposal support for the company.
Prior to joining Ascent, Kate worked in a variety of hospitality and meeting and event planning positions in various industries. Her extensive industry experience, her formal education in hospitality, and her accomplishments as a collegiate athlete prepared her well for her leadership role with Ascent.
Kate is passionate about client service, loves meeting and event planning, and adheres to a standard of excellence in everything she does.
As Director of Marketing, Kelly constantly has her eye on new ways to deliver information to our clients and to reinforce their brand to Advertisers. She instinctively brings together content with the best electronic and print tools to deliver an awesome performance-motivating, revenue-generating message.
Prior to Ascent, Kelly worked in marketing and internet communications for several healthcare-related organizations including the Kaiser Family Foundation in Washington, DC.
Kelly’s content management, communications expertise and project management skills are a force to be reckoned with.
As Marketing Brand Manager for Ascent, Jessica assists with creation of revenue generating marketing campaigns for our clients and for our family of Ascent Travel performance improvement brands. Jessica is our “online guru.” She creates structure for social media efforts while integrating web and email communications and monitors the web statistics associated with these efforts.
Jessica draws on her prior experience in the event planning industry and with developing multiple-environment marketing campaigns for a non-profit organization to help our clients engage their customers and sales organizations.
Jessica lives by the numbers and is always looking for creative ways to keep them growing.

As Manager of Sales Support for Ascent, Emily is responsible for developing new business and working closely with Account Managers to ensure a travel program’s scope and budget meet client expectations. Emily thoroughly researches, evaluates and recommends hotels and venues all over the world – ensuring award winners have a true incentive quality experience.
Emily is a thoroughbred in the meetings and conferences industry. She has worked with many large and small companies to develop symposiums, run conferences and manage supplier relationships.
Emily’s incentive travel programs increase revenue for our clients. She consistently makes Sales Managers very happy.
